This small sculpture of the Goddess Lakshmi is filled with the human touch of worship. She is seated upon a lotus throne, the symbol of her purity, holding the stems of two lotus flowers. Known as the goddess of abundance, fortune, and prosperity, she is called resplendent as the sun, calm as the moon, lustrous as fire, and radiant as gold.
