A fine and expressive Iban Dayak charm that embodies the spirit of power and protection from Antuk, a mythical 'first woman' and the inventor of the spinning wheel. Structurally, she is the maiden strut opposite the device's wheel. Her presence suggests the promise, independence and talent of a young weaver, one whose weaving tools would have been made by her husband soon after marriage.
