The White Dance Mask worn during Tashi Sholpa, the Good Luck Dance originated in the Shel area of Lhasa. It is the most ancient dance performance of Tibet founded by the 15th century Kagyu monk Tangdon Jiebu. Tibetans believe good luck, health and long life are brought to the audience upon viewing.
