Tampan are ceremonial textiles used as wrapping for gifts at rite of passage ceremonies and displayed and distributed at status raising feasts. This pair is notable for its mint condition and bold, detailed designs, which include two ancestral ships with multiple animals and figures surrounding a lively anthropomorphic tree of life.
