Provenance: Collected before 1965 in Indonesia by painter and photographer Beryl Bernay. Ms. Bernay was befriended by Indonesia's first President, Sukarno, and her photos of the tempestuous times before the revolution that deposed Sukarno are well-known, some of which are in the Getty Museum.
