Phurba – Ritual Dagger

This exemplary old wooden Phurba represents Hayagriva, the slayer of demons. The ritual dagger is said to be ‘the only force capable of destroying evil,’ within the mysteries of the practices of Vajrayana. The three-headed wrathful Hayagriva is crowned by skulls upon which rests the head of a horse. The triple blade is adorned with serpents. The object has a rich, aged patina, and possesses the spirit of ritual use.
