A monastic storage trunk displaying tiger skin design on its front, back, and top with snow leopard skin spots (rosettes), on both of its sides. It is a rare object imbued with the spirit of Tibet. In Tibetan Buddhism, the tiger symbolizing courage and trust, and the snow leopard, fearlessness and joy, are among the ‘animal guardians’ named - the four directional dignitaries.
