The silk purse is delicately embroidered in chain stitch with a central panel of a fish amidst lotus and sea plants. It is surrounded by a border of geometric motifs on a black silk background. The opposite flap with key fret borders, surrounds a small, attached ivory satin pouch rendered as a butterfly shape, with a smaller butterfly embroidered at its center. The cord has an endless knot design.
