Flint Pouch

Associated with nomads and horsemen, this embellished pouch was worn attached to a belt or sash. The front closure conceals a compartment in which flint for starting fire was stored. It is decorated with embossed brass and silver in a pattern of waves with foliated clouds and inset turquoise stone.
