A young woman’s jacket worn over a matching sarong on ceremonial occasions. It functioned as a talismanic, protective fertility garment. Ornaments of cowrie shell and hornbill motifs illustrate the complex, intricately worked materials. Small mica couched mirrors, cermuk, adorn the front while visually arresting geometric designs complete the back.
