This full-length sashiko-stitched fireman’s coat with background indigo saturation is in very good condition. A simple, refined piece that is tsutsugaki dyed, (hand-applied paste-resist), it includes elements of a tsuru (crane), good luck symbols, and dramatic cloud motifs, with gray, brown, black colors, and white resist.
